Hello Harvey! I got the second lamp base today. You aren't going to beleive this - it's not broken all the way through like the first one, however, it "moves" and I suspect it is ready to break all the way. It is not stable enough to put the shade on, I'd be afraid something might happen. It's a shame. Anyway, I put the shade on an existing brass lamp base I have to get the effect of the light and so forth. I have decided to return it and you can credit my VISA. I will fully insure the shade and hopefully there will be no mishaps with it! The colors just don't quite look right for me. Please let me know if you want me to return the second base so you can file a claim or whatever. I do want to say you have certainly given me some of the best customer service I have ever gotten!! I just received the 4 sconces. They are beautiful. I have one question, does the sconce bar simply rest on the two clips of the wall fixture or should it snap in? I did not receive an instructional diagram so I am left to assume it should just rest on it. I am a little hesitant if there should be an earthquake the sconce may fall off the fixture. Any advise? I received the Daffodil (703H) last week and it was exceptional. Couldn't have been more pleased. It was very well packaged and was received in excellent shape. As I do some stained glass panels as a hobby and I found the glass used in your shade to be high quality, not like most of the other shades I've seen at outlets or other lighting stores. Hi, We just received this shipment and the lampshade is broken in many places. The box appeared to be crushed from the top on one end. The lamp base (shipped separately) is fine and we really like it. We are hoping we can just return the shade and have a new one sent to us. Please see attached pictures for damage. Please advise us as to whether the shade can be replaced without returning the base, and how to go about returning the shade. I received on Friday the order for the Tiffany Table Lamp #1652. The Lamp is simply gorgeous and I could not believe how fast I received it. The only concern I have is the site states that the lamps wattage is 3 100 watt bulbs. On the lamp the sticker states 3 60 watt bulbs which you included in the purchase. This wattage is not as bright as I would have liked. Can I use a higher wattage as stated without a problem? Thank you for your response. Joanne Thank you for your immediate response. Michael - Sigh. Granted I've never been terribly mechanical but with several advanced degrees, considered myself of above average intelligence. I'm still unable to assemble the Oriental Poppy Floor Lamp with the parts I have on hand. Let me refresh your memory. The first lamp base I received arrived with a broken base. You asked that I keep from that shipment a round metal piece with an attached 3 - 4 inch screw shaft. I did so. The replacement base was promptly received but through a series of comic errors (in which both my husband and UPS are implicated), returned to you. The third and last lamp base was delivered without mishap to my office where I retrieved it earlier this week. Then came the intelligence test. It all seemed so simple. I unscrewed the finial and the canopy (note that I'm now venturing into unfamiliar vocabulary that I'm largely making up). It was obvious that the lamp should sit on the round metal piece. It was also obvious that the round metal piece should attach to the base by screwing it to the top of the three light sockets and that once the lamp was in place on the base, the canopy/finial piece would be attached. Unfortunately, the shaft of the round metal piece was identical in size (i.e., diameter) to the piece to which it should (?) attach. No amount of fiddling on my part could alter the fact that two pieces of identical dimensions will never screw together. So the lamp continues to sit upon the kitchen counter, exposed to the vagaries of everyday life. What am I doing wrong? Is my theory that the shaft of this round metal piece comes in more than one size correct? Is there anything else I should be trying? If there is, could you draw a picture and send it either via email or to my work fax And so I remain, clueless in Seattle. . .

Hi Susan, Sorry for the confusion about installing the new fitting on to the top of the light cluster.As you stated, obviously you unscrew the entire top fitting that is attached to a female fitting inside the light cluster. Leave the cover with the hole on the lamp, then proceed to screw the new fitting with the ring on top as shown in the picture, Attached. Place the shade on the ring, then put the cover with the finial to complete the lamp. If you have any other questions please call.....Hopefully this will be the key that unlocks the puzzle. With regard to your thoughts on our UPS methods, we always ship "signature required" so as to protect both us and the customer from merchandise that could be stolen if left at a door step. In the future, if you order from us, and you feel confident about the merchandise being safe at your doorstep, just specify "no sig required". As far as the $5000. insurance, we always insure our valuable Tiffany items for $5000. so they will (hopefully) receive special handling. The excess insurance which we pay a considerable price for does seem to put "the fear of God" into the UPS package handlers since we have experienced 99.9% perfect deliveries on items with the excess insurance. We hung our new lamp shade today and it's beautiful! Everyone that walks in the front door notices it right away. I'm so glad that I found your website. I was having a lot of trouble finding a shade that was predominantly blue and green. Your site had several shades that I liked. So, thanks for a great product! Also - you might want to let your customers know that they must be home to sign for the UPS package when it arrives. UPS would not let my neighbor sign for the package because it was insured for $5000, although my shade was only about $450. Luckily, my neighbor called me a work and I called UPS and had them come back to the house after I was home from work.

Hi, Mike. Well, good news. We received your prompt shipment and since I could not wait, on Saturday morning right after coffee I began working on the lamp..... took me one hour, but what a good job I did. The first one that I replaced was the trapezoid. I sort for nibbled the metal to open it, slept the glass in and voila! then I worked on the diamond, amazingly enough it was the easiest of all to put in place. The lamp looks brand new, and no one will ever notice the difference. I took a couple of pictures of the lamp already hanging on the kitchen island. As soon as I develop the pictures, I will scan one for you. Thank you, Mike, your great business demeanor made possible for us to respond in the same way and repaired the lamp without complications. My husband has been very pleased with the results, the lamp and the light in the kitchen, it looks great, very cozy due to the warmth of the light and the shade of the lamp. Does give you some idea of how much I LOVE my new hanging lamp. The reds are brillant as are the greens and it hangs over my casual dining table. I can't wait until dusk when I can truly appreciate it even more. I have one other tiffany lamp, which is a table lamp and without overdoing, it may not be decorating sense to add more, although I hope that my bedroom lamps will be replaced with tiffanys. I have sent your address to many of my friends with my praises. Your web site truly show the lamps well and you have too many to chose from, it makes it very difficult to pick one or two without wanting all of them. Harvey & Michael - Just got the lamps hung in the foyer and dining room this week. It's quite a sight! Photos are attached. I continue to believe that your web site could be enhanced by including photos of lamps in customer homes. It's hard to get a sense of the scale of some of these lamps and more context could be helpful for many. Customer photos or not, your web site is one of the best out there. More importantly, the amazing quality of your products, the promptness of delivery and your commitment to customer service have made purchasing lamps "sight unseen" a true pleasure.

Secondly, we're more than thrilled with the quality and the beauty of our new dining room shade. The colors are strikingly beautiful, with such delicacy and so much thought put into the tones and hues all complimenting one another.
